Bergisel Ski Jump and Golden Roof, Innsbruck

Innsbruck, the Provincial Capital
Take a day trip and discover Innsbruck, our provincial capital, with its great theatres (the Landestheater, Stadt Theater, Innsbrucker Kallertheater, Ritterspiele,...) and museums (the giant panoramic painting, Schloss Ambras, Provincial Museum of Tyrol, Tyrol Museum of Folk Art, City Museum, Zeughaus Arsenal, Tyrol Railway Museum, Tyrol Imperial Hunting Museum, Museum of the Alpine Association,...).

Bergisel Ski Jump
The Olympic ski jump, which was renovated and upgraded in 2001, along with the Bergisel ski-jump competition as part of the international Four Hills Tournament, have made the Bergisel into the sporting and tourist magnet it is today. With the new funicular and visitors' lift in the tower, you have a convenient way to make your way up to the cafe and restaurant in the tower, as well as to the panoramic lookout platform. WHAT A VIEW! The lookout terrace is perched 50 metres above the ground. With its 360° vistas, you will be able to gaze out in wonder at the Alpine world of Innsbruck and the surrounding region.

Golden Roof
The Maximilianeum served from 1420 until ca. 1460 as the official residence of Tyrol's monarchs Friedrich IV and Archduke Sigmund. The resplendent balcony, roofed with 2657 copper tiles which have been gilded in solid gold, now very much the emblem of this city, was commissioned by Emperor Maximilian I from Niclas Türing the Elder and completed, according to the inscription, in the year 1500.
